fatez Posted October 18, 2014 #1 Posted October 18, 2014 since xpenlogy can run on mobo with hdmi and audio, can i/us request a xbmc/kodi package for this beautiful project?
aisman Posted October 18, 2014 #2 Posted October 18, 2014 I think it's possible. I use Debian Chroot to run tvheadend: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=141981&pid=1626754#pid1626754 If it is possible to build tvh - mean you can build and run kodi. If you want - I can try to build and test.
fatez Posted October 18, 2014 Author #3 Posted October 18, 2014 Yes pls It is possible to put openelec or xbmcbuntu?
fatez Posted October 18, 2014 Author #5 Posted October 18, 2014 Not inside, instead I'd love to have xbmc would be a perfect nas
aisman Posted October 18, 2014 #6 Posted October 18, 2014 It is theoretically possible to make another chroot such as openelec, but if we have Debian - will try xbmc with this OS. Tomorrow i'll try to build, run and make scripts.
fatez Posted October 21, 2014 Author #9 Posted October 21, 2014 I'm trying to make a chroot with ubuntu , let's see if I can .

fatez Posted October 23, 2014 Author #11 Posted October 23, 2014 No lucky for me. I will investigate....
koolvn Posted November 11, 2014 #12 Posted November 11, 2014 Any progress on this Correct me if I'm wrong but a quick look from Qnap and Asustor, it seems they create wrapper, or whatever it is, that houses XBMC instead installing it directly
Shernick Posted May 10, 2015 #13 Posted May 10, 2015 Please, test install Kodi simple in Xpenology with HDMI
renedis Posted May 12, 2015 #14 Posted May 12, 2015 Search for "Emby". It is currently in beta but it runs fine! Initial indexing/downloading fanart setup took 8 hours (262 movies, 8 tv series). But it's great! In that period it asks a lot of CPU and memory! to run Emby you need to install these packages too: - Debian Chroot - ffmpeg - ImageMagick - MediaInfo - Mono
