seanp Posted May 13, 2013 #2 Posted May 13, 2013 Hello all, can somebody help me on a installation on a libvirt vm server? Cheers Thomas You are getting ahead of yourself. Libvert works with "the virtualization capabilities of recent versions of Linux" (http://libvirt.org/) ...however no virtualization capabilities have been compiled into the synology kernel. Getting KVM running is the most hopeful as you can include it on a custom build of the kernel.
XPEH Posted May 13, 2013 #3 Posted May 13, 2013 I think Thomas referring to installing DSM as a guest on virtual environment. My understanding that libvirt is just a managing shell, but you still need installation of underlining VM which can be most of virtual technologies available.

Sometimes I get tunnel vision.
