z-vap Posted October 11, 2014 #1 Posted October 11, 2014 Are me and @Diverge the only two people that do this? sed -i 's/flashupdateDeb/flashupdateDeb1/' /autoupd@te.info just wondering
Dfds Posted October 11, 2014 #2 Posted October 11, 2014 No, I've been using that command now for quite a few updates.
jagwaugh Posted October 11, 2014 #5 Posted October 11, 2014 I just use vi. By the time I google and copy/paste (or remember and type it correctly) I can have the file edited with vi and the update installed. Has anybody figured out how the manualupd@te process works? Andrew
z-vap Posted October 12, 2014 Author #6 Posted October 12, 2014 actually I have the above command entered as a disabled Task so I don't even have to login to SSH. I just manually highlight it and run.
MarsManden Posted October 13, 2014 #7 Posted October 13, 2014 No, you're not the only one. I've used it since the day i saw it the first time - which is a long time ago. I love simplicity.
