gaps Posted January 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2020 Hi guys, I am trying to make Gigabyte J3455N-D3H with 16gb of ram to work. So far I was able to make DSM 6.2.2 work with Jun's Loader v1.04b DS918+ and some beta drivers, but it just crashes after some time (sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes around 1 hour of running). Here is crash log from serial console: [ 4927.603804] mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 2: Machine Check Exception: 0 Bank 0: 9000000020000003 [ 4927.612745] mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 [ 4927.616963] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:506c9 TIME 1580285356 SOCKET 0 APIC 4 microcode 1e [ 4927.626224] mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' [ 4927.633336] mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 2: Machine Check Exception: 4 Bank 0: 9000000020000003 [ 4927.642231] mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 6bbdf4c7434 [ 4927.647391] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:506c9 TIME 1580290284 SOCKET 0 APIC 4 microcode 1e [ 4927.656671] mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' [ 4927.663785] mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 3: Machine Check Exception: 4 Bank 0: 9000000020000003 [ 4927.672677] mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 6bbdf4c8682 [ 4927.677789] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:506c9 TIME 1580290284 SOCKET 0 APIC 6 microcode 1e [ 4927.687050] mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' [ 4927.694182] mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 0: Machine Check Exception: 0 Bank 4: a600000000020408 [ 4927.703114] mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 ADDR fef135c0 [ 4927.708621] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:506c9 TIME 1580285356 SOCKET 0 APIC 0 microcode 1e [ 4927.717908] mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' [ 4927.725033] mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 1: Machine Check Exception: 0 Bank 3: b600000000110135 [ 4927.734029] mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 0 ADDR 6cc7ee10 [ 4927.739526] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:506c9 TIME 1580285356 SOCKET 0 APIC 2 microcode 1e [ 4927.748856] mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' [ 4927.755949] mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 1: Machine Check Exception: 4 Bank 3: b600000000110135 [ 4927.764852] mce: [Hardware Error]: TSC 6bbdf4c533e ADDR 44b2c13d0 [ 4927.771363] mce: [Hardware Error]: PROCESSOR 0:506c9 TIME 1580290284 SOCKET 0 APIC 2 microcode 1e [ 4927.780681] mce: [Hardware Error]: Run the above through 'mcelog --ascii' [ 4927.787803] mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check: Processor context corrupt [ 4927.795092] Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal machine check [ 4927.800967] Kernel Offset: disabled [ 4927.913027] Rebooting in 3 seconds.. [ 4930.986507] ACPI MEMORY or I/O RESET_REG. I have the same problem of crashing even with ubuntu or windows. What do you think could cause that? I ran memtest but everything seems fine without errors. Which version of bios do you guys using with that board? If anyone who uses that board is ready to share bios configuration and give me some advice on how to make this thing work, I will appreciate that. IG-88 Posted January 29, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 29, 2020 maybe you cpu is about to die https://www.tomshardware.com/news/intel-apollo-lake-cpu-not-dying-pcn-lpc-bus-degradation,40378.html my Atom C2550 died this way taking a 12 port sata systemboard with it (and after "just" 4 years no one was responsible for this)
