joub Posted August 13, 2014 #1 Posted August 13, 2014 hello, I am currently running DSM 5.0-4493 Update3. I can't enable anymore the Windows file service. It just says "operation failed". That's weird because everythong was fine until yesterday night. I've checked workgroup, reboot everything. NFS and Mac file service are just fine. Something to do with samba ? following command /usr/syno/etc/rc.sysv/S80samba.sh start gives me samba is not configured for running Also, /usr/syno/etc/rc.sysv/S80samba.sh restart stop smbd ... not running stop winbindd ... not running stop nmbd ... nmbd stoped (0 sec) remove temp tdbs samba is not configured for running Thanks for your help.
