foxdragon Posted October 20, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 20, 2019 (edited) Hello i'm mike and i want to try to build a nas from a old pc i have standing here collecting dust. the main thing i want to run on it is teamspeak, download station and docker. the first synology i had was a ds212 i loved how simple is was to controll so i upgraded to the ds214play because i have a intel chip and could runn teamspeak server. and than came the update that made teamspeak not work anymore and forums say install docker image, that's oll fine but my good old companion don't support docker. so i was looking for a other solution and that's where i found this forum at first it got me more confused than before but after watching a youtube vid it seems i'm in the right place. this is all a bit overwhelming so if someone would be so kind to point me in the right direction that would be mutch apreciated. In short: the mainboard is capable of running Xpenology (loader 1.03b or 1.04b). I‘m not 100% sure of the onboard Nic (i217LM). Check the update reports section for this. foxdragon Posted October 20, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted October 20, 2019 this is so cool !!! i did what jensmander say and downloades the 1.04b thing and started with it than i used the xpenology tool to donwload the 916 version ( could not find 918) like ig-88 say and it worked at the first try ( changed the vid and pid and serial stuff like youtube say ofc.) this is realy sweet thank you guy's so mutch .
