IG-88 Posted October 6, 2019 Share #5 Posted October 6, 2019 careful when doing it from windows, needs a editor thats aware of unix text files, notepad++ is ok /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf is the file activate ssh in dsm web gui, login with putty, give yourself root with "sudo su" and edit the file with nano or vi (both editors) if you never used putty or nano consider to ask a friend for help, you are messing on low level in the system, doing something wrong will have consequences, working as root is "you ask for it you got it" even if it damages/destroys your system Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
