2FA Auth out of sync with google, no ssh

Hi all,  I know on a hardware diskstation the reset button can be used to soft reset, but can't be done on the software version.

 

I've "synced" the google authenticator, the time showing on the login screen of disk station is correct, but I keep getting "wrong verification code" no matter when in the cycle I enter the code.

 

Is there anything I can do to disable it to get in, then reset everything please?

Thank you. I'll do a back up and try upgrading then... and if it works I'll enable ssh this time!
