Hi,

I see that this used to be a problem with DSM 4.x but I am wondering if anybody has seen this on Nanoboot DSM 5 4493 (Update2)

Whenever I click on Enable WOL on LAN 1 (or others) in the Control Panel, Hardware and Power, it un-select itself.

I found the following in my /var/log/messages

SynoTower> tail -f messages
Jun 30 13:38:58 SynoTower entry.cgi_SYNO.Core.Hardware.PowerRecovery[1].set[10950]: SYNO.Core.Hardware.PowerRecovery.cpp:27 Failed to set Wake on Lan

It fails also when trying to set the option "Restart automatically after power failure", although there I have to click on "Apply" before it sets itself back to un-ticked.

in the log, I have

Jun 30 13:51:24 SynoTower entry.cgi_SYNO.Core.Hardware.PowerRecovery[1].set[23213]: write to uart2 error, error=(5)Input/output error
Jun 30 13:51:24 SynoTower entry.cgi_SYNO.Core.Hardware.PowerRecovery[1].set[23213]: SYNO.Core.Hardware.PowerRecovery.cpp:52 SYNOHWExternalControl failed 8192

Any idea if this hardware specific, a driver or just a general issue with Nanoboot?

I am on bare metal, Asus P8H77-I, Core i3, 8Go RAM and 3x WD 2Tb

Many thanks
