Dfds Posted June 22, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 22, 2014 The comma's are the wrong ones in that howto, try this instead. sed 's/flashupdateDeb/flashupdateDeb1/' /autoupd@te.info > /autoupd@te.info1 mv /autoupd@te.info1 /autoupd@te.info

Dfds Posted June 23, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2014 If you're just applying the update your data should be fine.
Johno Posted June 24, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted June 24, 2014 ok.. if i apply the pat file as in the guide i posted above it doesn't work as the file isnt named autoupd@te.info - its named manualupd@te.info.active so pasting in the sed's aboe doesnt work. i followed another guide where it said just download the update from the disktation manager and then do the sed commands. if i do that i get a file called autoupd@te.info on there and the sed commands work but when the update tries to install i get an error saying "there is a temporary directory access error(2) during update" and the update crashes. any ideas??
