masteroc Posted June 21, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 21, 2014 Hey guys, just trying out Xpenology to see if I want to make it my default NAS OS (on an HP N54L) and I was wondering if there was any way to get it to work with the QuickConnect feature of MyDS? I tried to connect it and it kept giving me an "unknown error." I was hoping to be able to use the iOS apps for remote file/audio sharing. Thanks for your time! Dfds Posted June 22, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 22, 2014 In a word, No. QuickConnect will only work with a genuine synology device. You don't need it to setup remote access anyway. Sign up for a free DNS account, configure the appropriate settings in xpenology & away you go.

liukuohao Posted July 15, 2015 Share #6 Posted July 15, 2015 Getting Quick Connect to work refer to here: http://xpenology.me/how-to-generate-syn ... alid-pair/ If you think it is hard, then don't worry about reading the tutorial above. Do your research and get your DDNS and port forwarding working. Try this Synology tutorial available in youtube and see it helps or not.
