Black6spdZ Posted July 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2019 I recently noticed IF you are using an SSD cache "R/W", sequential I/O allowed that when you perform a scrub of your volume it writes ALL of the data read during the scrub to the SSDs! This can't be right? using 918+ loader and 6.2.2.
flyride Posted July 31, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 31, 2019 Loader doesn't have any knowledge of whether you are using cache. So this is working as Synology (or more specifically Facebook/flashcache developers) designed.

I realize this has nothing to do with xpenology but why would the cache algorithm attempt to cache everything from a scrub routine.. that's generally A LOT of data!
