AlexThomsen Posted June 25, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 25, 2019 Hi, Im trying to install Synology 6.2.2 with Juns 1.04b loader for 918+. I have finally discoverd that there was no network issues. When booting from my usb pen without disks attached i instantly get network. But as soon as i attached one of my disk, the network are gone. Im installing on a Gigabyte Motherboard with an Haswell I7 processor. Running ACHI, BIOS and im still stuck. Any suggestions? My 5 disks are WD Red 3 TB. /Alex
cri5py Posted June 25, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 25, 2019 Had a similar problem. I'm assuming you have a realtek nic chip. That's what my Gigabyte card had. I changed it with an intel PCIe NIC card and worked right away.
AlexThomsen Posted June 25, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted June 25, 2019 Hi Again, I dont think its the NIC. As soon as i deattaches the harddrives, the network works. But i cant see some output logs from the server. I dont have a com port.
AlexThomsen Posted June 25, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted June 25, 2019 Hi Again, Okay, it seems to be helping to switch to another motherboard NIC. Now the hole installation completed, the server rebooted and didnt find any bootable devices. Im struggling here
cri5py Posted June 25, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 25, 2019 Check that your hard drives settings in bios. I had to set mine to AHCI
bearcat Posted June 26, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 26, 2019 @AlexThomsen make sure your USB boot stick is the primary boot device (and do not remove it from the USB port).
AlexThomsen Posted June 27, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted June 27, 2019 Hi again, I finally got the installation to install It seems that i have some bad disks in the system Everything seems okay now except the registerede processor in the system, it reports an INTEL Celeron J3455, but im having an haswell i7. Will this issue give performance problems? Will sleep states even work? /Alex
