Almost certainly an ESXi issue but wondered if anyone

Folks, friends,

 

I've been using Xpenology on ESXi since gnoboot's release, now i'm on nanoboot.

 

I'm using an N54L with ESXi installed on a USB dongle.

My datastore is an SSD then several WD drives for storage.

 

I have a Intel NUC with an m-sata SSD and 4gb of RAM and win 8.1.

I use XBMC 13 (now on 13.1 beta 2).

 

Ever since moving to ESXi I've found movies occasionally stutter.

Not entirely sure why, since coming across the problem xpenology has been upgraded to nanoboot, xbmc has been upgraded to 13.1 and the datastore has been upgraded from a crappy 5400rpm drive to an SSD.

 

Any ideas why it's stuttering? I've just added a second NIC to my Xpenology machine incase the one is pants.

 

Like I say I'm pretty sure it's ESXi at fault but everything I've read says ESXi has so little impact on the performance of the machine that it could be considered to not even exist as such.

 

Thoughts and advice from fellow ESXi users would be greatly appreciated.

Sods law it's been ok today with XBMC debugging switched on.

 

Are are you suggesting logs from else where?

Happened again today three times whilst trying to watch 24 so switched on the debug log of xbmc (see below).
