rvmeush Posted May 25, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 25, 2019 I have been looking for a way to display photos as a digital flipbook, but haven't found any software packages that will display photos in this format. Is anyone aware of a way to provide a photo flipbook viewing mode? thanks.
Polanskiman Posted May 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 27, 2019 Not that I know of. You have Photo Station which is a Synology app. Part of the features though rely on having a genuine SN and MAC addresses but overall it works ok. I use it mainly to backup my (and my familly's) mobile photos/videos. Have a try.
Olegin Posted May 27, 2019 Share #3 Posted May 27, 2019 You can also try to use the Moments package
Polanskiman Posted May 27, 2019 Share #4 Posted May 27, 2019 Didn’t think about that app but yes you are right, it’s another option.
rvmeush Posted May 28, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted May 28, 2019 I have tried Moments and Photo Station. They have a slideshow mode but they don't offer a flipbook mode for transitioning.
rvmeush Posted May 28, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted May 28, 2019 Actually, the slideshow mode in Photo Station does have a number of slide transition styles to choose from, including one that is a "flip" mode on a single page. I was surprised that Moments didn't seem to include any type of transitions between slides. Hopefully Synology can expand the slideshow capabilities in Moments in the future. Polanskiman Posted May 29, 2019 Share #7 Posted May 29, 2019 Indeed. It's called the 'Turn' transition effect. Isn't that what you are looking for?
rvmeush Posted May 29, 2019 Author Share #8 Posted May 29, 2019 The 'Turn' transition isn't quite the same thing as a flipbook presentation. I'm including a picture of what the flipbook gui looks like. Basically it looks like a book would look on a table and the transition animation simulates turning the page on the book. Olegin Posted May 29, 2019 Share #9 Posted May 29, 2019 Alternatively, you can run the required application in the Docker container.
