edie209 Posted May 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted May 2, 2014 I hope someone can help me. I installed DS3612xs_3202 on a HP Micro server quite a while ago and it has been working flawlessly. I decided to change my room around and powered it down (with usb removed) and on reboot in Synology assistant I get the status "Not Installed". Now I have quite a large amount of photos and Movies on the drives. What do I do next?
djalex Posted May 2, 2014 Share #2 Posted May 2, 2014 Hi ! Could you ping your NAS ip address ? if not, could you use a monitor and see log's screen in fine, could you try to create a new usb key and reboot your NAS with the new usb key..
andywhit Posted May 3, 2014 Share #3 Posted May 3, 2014 Presumably you reinserted the USB key before restarting ?
shackwove Posted May 3, 2014 Share #4 Posted May 3, 2014 If you are unable to get your former DSM installation working again you can always mount the hard drives in your main computer or from a live CD such as Ubuntu. Synology has a good write up about it http://www.synology.com/en-us/support/faq/579 i was able to access my Raid 1 that i created in DSM using this method.
