Created a page which lists all known package source + their packages

https://xpenology.us/package-sources

Good list!

but... from all of them, only https://synocommunity.com/packages is the true winner

SynoCommunity is pretty cool but there is some fragmentation that gets annoying. For example, the Sonarr package allows you to update the program right inside of Sonarr, but if I try to do the same thing with NZBGet it says it does not support upgrading unless I obtain a new package. So I cannot get NZBGet 17.1 on my Synology currently.

Ever thought about using docker containers for that? I prefer containers over spk applications, since you allways know where the relevant things are located. As a bonus docker images are usually update faster and more frequently than spk applications.

I can recommend the linuxserver docker images like: linuxserver/sonarr, linuxserver/nzbget and linuxserver/couchpotato, linuxserver/plex

Most of their images are auto updated on container restart!

I tried using Docker but I just don't understand it. I have SabNZBd running but cannot access the filesystem of the nas. It is all very confusing to me.

Hi,

You might be also interested in the search engine I've made: https://search.synopackage.com . There are also packages source list, which I'm trying to keep up to date. This is pretty hard task, because many of those sources are temporaly unavailable and after a while they back online again

Feel free to use it and comment ;)

Nice initiative & great work !

https://search.synopackage.com/sources is up to date will all third party repositories

Config file editor 1.6 is a must have, from https://search.synopackage.com/sources/synologyitalia [http://www.mertymade.com/syno/#cfe v1.4 doesn't work on recent dsm]

- go at last option in drop down menu to add files to it
- add the lines like "/usr/syno/etc/packages/feeds,3rd Party Package provider"

- save and restart the app.

- Go to "3rd Party Package provider" and sources can be copied/pasted in one go:

Hi,

Adding all active repositories is now simpler with Synopackage Proxy Repository. You may add one link to Package Center: https://synopackage.com/repository/spk/All and Synopackage will query for you all active repositories under the hood and gives you combined response ;)

More info at: https://synopackage.com/repository

I plan to work on personalized repositories, so user could choose which repository to include in the link (no estimation date for now). For now there are two choices: All & SynopackageChoice.
