rl77 Posted May 8, 2019 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2019 Hi, I have a baremetal DSM 6.1x installed and when I WOL, I have noticed that the boot menu occasionally hangs - waiting for the choosing from one of three options to boot into the loader. My understanding is that something to do with unsuccessfully unloading a USB external drive on shutdown can cause the problem - which I do have connected one connected. To me this is an issue as when I notice WOL 'failed' and need to plug in a usb keyboard to select the first boot option, which is a pain. I am wondering if anyone else has addressed this and/or looked into possibly using an override such as GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=true or disabling the OS_PROBER? Thanks.
