pbodq2 Posted March 8, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2019 After loading into DSM, is it safe to pull out the stick? I know my question is simple and stupid but I dare not to have a try on the existing system. By the way, no result shown when I search the keyword "USB" in this forum even though I saw many titled threads with "USB".
flyride Posted March 8, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 8, 2019 No, the stick is the boot device and is modified by DSM whenever you take an update, and perhaps at other times. If you need to access the files on it while booted up, there are methods of mounting the partitions so that they are accessible from the shell.
