siri_uk Posted January 27, 2019 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2019 Hi guys I'm swapping from a gen 8 microserver to a system with asrock j4105m and dell h310 crossflashed to lsi 9211-8i. If I run 8 drives am i better running the 8 drives directly from the lsi or 6 from the lsi and 2 from the on board 6gps sata ports. Do I also have to configure the sata ports in the bootloader. Thanks
Dfds Posted January 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted January 27, 2019 I think you'd be better off disabling the internal sata controller & just using the LSI.
kaktuss77 Posted January 27, 2019 Share #3 Posted January 27, 2019 I have actually 4 drives on SATA and 8 drives on my 9211-8i card, drive on 6th sata port report speed link changing with CRC error (isn't the drive - swap 2 drive, same thing same port) , I have bought a LSI00244 9201-16i to fit my 12 drives on it
