John Roy Posted December 16, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 16, 2018 OK so I have a good working DS918+ with a proper loader. It is offering to update to the latest (DSM 6.2.1-23824 - Update 2) From update 1 Can I just go and update from within the DSM? Thanks

Fastsnail Posted December 28, 2018 Share #5 Posted December 28, 2018 Hi guys, I have a question about updating my first box. I trued to update directly from bad but it didn’t work. As I understand now (I hope) I have to do it manually. Is this correct. thx
Guest Posted December 28, 2018 Share #6 Posted December 28, 2018 What box (hardware)do you have? What DSM and Loader do you use ? It´s difficult to answer you without any informations about your setting.
Fastsnail Posted December 28, 2018 Share #7 Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) Sorry I wasn’t clear before by box I mean my first nas. I have intel i3 4170, Asus Maximus VII, 8 gb ram. Jun loader 1.3b and 739 software dsm 6.2. Update popped and I’m not sure if I have to do it manually or hit update. i hope that is more clear now. thx Edited December 28, 2018 by Fastsnail

Perhaps a user with (nearly) your constellation can give you an advice to update or not. Edited December 28, 2018 by Guest
Fastsnail Posted December 28, 2018 Share #10 Posted December 28, 2018 Ok and if I decide to try how do I do that? Manually ?
Guest Posted December 28, 2018 Share #11 Posted December 28, 2018 If your "nas" don´t show the update then go on synology download pages and chose your synology nas model. Download the right ".pat"-file and start manually your update. But be careful - it is risky ! Your system could freeze, stop,....with losing your datas and fils !
