Biaggi051 Posted November 24, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 24, 2018 Hi! I have 1 HDD on volume type Basic and at synology it should be possible to Change it to raid1 or whatever. But on my Xpenology System I can´t Change it. Is this normal or is it my or my Hardware foult? It´s because i have now 1 HDD installed and want to add a second and make a Raid1 ... Can someone tell me? Thanks a lot! Bye Thomas
flyride Posted November 25, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 25, 2018 You need a second drive installed first, before you can change to RAID1.
Biaggi051 Posted November 25, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted November 25, 2018 Yes but I already installed the second drive and it´s recognized as Volume 2 raid type Basic. But I cannot create a Raid1 ...
flyride Posted November 25, 2018 Share #4 Posted November 25, 2018 There is already a volume and Basic raid group on the second drive from a previous action on your part. Delete those and you will be able to create your RAID1.
