@Dreadnought

compiled the package on Ubuntu an as i try to start this message appears:

Quote

root@AcerNology2:/volumeUSB1/usbshare/mediasmartserverd-master# ./mediasmartserverd: error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
-ash: ./mediasmartserverd:: No such file or Directory

seems it has to be built in an dev-Environment of Sysnolgy, what i tried, but there i can't install the needed libraries caus apt-get or ipkg or anything else worked...

any ideas to install needed libraries in Synology toolchain ?

I wonder if this could this be made into a Synology install package like the powerbutton package was?

I'm Sorry..

I do not understand what YOU mean..

I'm suggesting if the mediasmartservd project was made into a Synology SPK package as the powerbutton package was, it would be much easier to install.

Gotcha!  I think this may help.  I'm a bit of a newb with this stuff.  I'll dig in when I've got more time.
