I followed this guide: https://xpenology.club/setup-xpenology-vmware-workstation-12/ There is few problems with it, for one the vdmk file they provide is invalid. The next is that if the first is fixed, the VM still doesn't work. Solution: rename the iso to img as a comment suggested there. This seemed to work. So I add 3x 10GB virtual drives for testing purposes. When i start the VM, DSM asks me if i want to make use of the drives, i click yes. 10 minute countdown soon happens, then VM restarts and i can't get back onto the webgui This happened twice and I don't understand why.
