ALAMAPSTIEKS Posted December 18, 2020 Share #64 Posted December 18, 2020 - Outcome of the installation/update: SUCCESSFUL - DSM version prior update: DSM 6.1.1-5217 - Loader version and model: JUN'S LOADER v1.03b - DS3615xs - Using custom extra.lzma: NO - Installation type: BAREMETAL - HP Microserver Gen 8 / NIC: HP NC360L - Additional comments: -- This was by no means plain sailing, I got the ERROR 13 first due to the wrong PAT file, make sure you get the critical one and not the standard one from their site. --Then after installing I had nothing, no ping nothing. I had a NC360L in the cupboard so installed that but could not find a way to find the MAC so left the grub as it was and disabled the internal NICs in the BIOS. --Then when I tried to switch on the HP gen 8 it would just sit there and blink a green light, for hours, after some digging I found that replacing the CMOS battery will fix it which it did.. I know...Random right! --I then had life, but got a message stating no HARDDRIVES from DSM - so back to the BIOS and I disabled the internal RAID and switched on AHCI and it now works -- Internal NIC not recognized -- HDDs lost until ACHI switched on
