jensmander Posted September 28, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 28, 2018 Howdy! I ordered (for a customer) the first big "real" Rackstation. RS3617RPxs Xeon D 2,7 16GB RAM 10G SFP 12x HGST 6TB M2D18 M2-Adapter 2x SanDisk 512GB M.2 SSDs (for R/W cache) Rack mounting rails I'll report how this baby "feels" compared to XPEnologys with Xeons or other "high potential" hardware. Nice weekend at all :=)
jensmander Posted October 19, 2018 Author Share #2 Posted October 19, 2018 OK, here are the first impressions: RAID10 setup with a total of 36GB (BTRFS) LACP bond 2x10G SFP constant speed of ~ 900MB/s when transferring large files from one server with 1x10G with random but concurrent access of 20 clients (each connected with 1Gbit) each client still receives a throughput of ~ 110MB/s while the overall system load remains under 10% (CPU & RAM) speed gain for heavily accessed files and folders compared to a ProLiant DL 380 G9 with 2x10G SFP and RAID10 on SAS drives due to R/W cache with 2x512GB M.2 SSDs

42bios Posted November 28, 2018 Share #4 Posted November 28, 2018 Is it also possible to clone the image of the Rackstation and transfer it to a comparable server?
