Flarup Posted September 23, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2018 Hey I need som e help I just created and reset on my HP Proviant Gen 8 with DSM 6.1.7 Update 2 now the Dam says they can see that have have moved my harddrive from an old nas so I only have the option to migrate when I try to migrate with the 6.1.7 pat it says the files is broken i also tried to update my bootloader but I get no cfg file on my usb pen please help me .9 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

IG-88 Posted September 23, 2018 Share #12 Posted September 23, 2018 (edited) the img file is about 50MB and osfmount should show 3 partitons (15MB. 30MB, 4MB) as you already have writen a usb flash drive there is also the option to use linux to mount the 1st partiton of the drive to modify the grub.cfg (vid/pid) you really should read https://xpenology.com/forum/forum/36-tutorials-and-guides/ and https://xpenology.com/forum/forum/83-faq-start-here/ also if you want a clean install you can remove all partitions from disks, that way then installer can only offer a fresh install, boot a live or recovery linux to do this, this can also be used to mount an mod the usb flqsh drive as mentioned above Edited September 23, 2018 by IG-88 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
