swizzls_mtlow Posted August 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 14, 2018 Hi, I have recently updated DSM on my HP N36/40L microserver. Prior to the upgrade to DSM 6.2 I had a working 2 port USB3 PCI-E card. However I have just gone to plug my external HDD into the card and it spins up but does not register in DSM. The disk is fine, I have checked on my Windows PC and also it is visible (and usable) when plugged into one of the USB2 ports built into the server. Not sure where to go with this but would be good to get USB3 working to speed up backups. The card is a TS-PDC3. Thanks in advance

Josh Posted November 1, 2018 Share #3 Posted November 1, 2018 I can not help with your card but i have this card working under DSM 6.2/1.03b (3615) on my N54L: https://www.delock.de/produkte/1112_USB-3-0/89243/merkmale.html?setLanguage=en Regards
swizzls_mtlow Posted November 13, 2018 Author Share #4 Posted November 13, 2018 @tork24 not solved this yet but have only been doing incremental backups so has been less of an issue @Josh Thanks for the headsup on your card. Did you have to configure any special settings or does it just work out of the box? Thanks
Josh Posted November 18, 2018 Share #5 Posted November 18, 2018 @swizzls_mtlow It works out of the box, no config or settings. It also works with 6.2.1.

swizzls_mtlow Posted December 17, 2018 Author Share #9 Posted December 17, 2018 As an update because I had inadvertantly upgraded to 6.2 and didnt feel like trying to downgrade to get my card to work, I purchased a Dell U3N2-D pci-e USB3 card which seems to work ok. There was another thread on here discussing compatible cards. Just need to sort out the not fully powering off issue now!
