Thank you VERY much. I have done SATA in VMwW as well as when setting up the initial VM in QNAP, so both are set to SATA and it is now working. Now to figure out how to get the Surveillance Station to work with a license pack that I have because I end up getting a message that the the connection failed when it tries to reach out to the backend server or something. sv000008 Posted September 13, 2018 Share #403 Posted September 13, 2018 In order to upgrade to 6.2 can I boot the new USB image and then upgrade the DSM from there or is there another way I must do it?

Btw if my memories is correct, due to UEFI NIC driver issues, it's prefered that you would use Legacy boot methods instead of UEFI.

flyride Posted September 14, 2018 Share #407 Posted September 14, 2018 The board will work fine. I am running on DS918+ image right now with J4105. As long as your RAM is compatible with the motherboard it doesn't matter very much. The board has an onboard Realtek NIC. This works fine with the DS918+ image. You want a second NIC? Just make sure the Realtek or Intel driver is supported. I have not seen anyone with this board running a second NIC however.

mita4kata Posted September 14, 2018 Share #410 Posted September 14, 2018 Hi , I am trying to migrate from 1.02b to 1.03b on a baremetal but without success. The DSM 6.1.7 works great, but on upgrade I get stuck at the bootloader message to use find.synology.com but it is not discoverable on the network through the website or Synology Assistant. No IP Address, no MAC address on the network. On the 1.02b loader network is working on 1Gb, but after boot on 1.03b the switch showing 100Mb connection. it seems to be a network driver problem . BAREMETAL: Bosch DIP-2042-2HD Divar IP 2000 SMBIOS 2.7 Network card: RTL8111E 10/100/1000 CPU: Intel(R) Atom(TM) CPU D525 @ 1.80GHz Mainboard: BOSCH CCTV APP SEL0 - OEM Wistron Infocomm (Zhongshan) Corporation Is there any way to debug the bootloader ? or Could you help me to start it ?
