SHINZONITO Posted July 27, 2018 #1 Posted July 27, 2018 Hello. I would like to ask if would be possible to reinstall Xpenology without losing the data on the hard drives where I have files. The problem is that, when trying to enter nas, via web, it has indicated to me that the data were erroneous. I've tried it several times and it has blocked me by IP. I have tried with other computers in case I was wrong with the password but it has also been blocked when I am 100% sure that the password and user are correct. I do not remember the type of bootloader that I have in the usb ..... Any help will be welcome. Thanks in advance. Say that I can see the contents without problem, for example, from Kodi at other computer. Quote
IG-88 Posted July 29, 2018 #3 Posted July 29, 2018 why not booting something like systemrescue cd (assemble system partition with mdadm) and reset password? google "linux reset password with systemrescuecd" and this for how to assemble the system partition of dsm Quote
hotshots Posted August 21, 2018 #4 Posted August 21, 2018 Or just do a "forced reinstall". Configuration will be lost, but data should remain. Quote
