jorgen Posted July 19, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 19, 2018 Hi, after updating to 6.2 on my Gigabyte GA-170N based pc, I see that all packages are stopped, the DSM Update status is red and fails to connect, under Network.General all fields are blank, and under Network interface it may or may not show my NICs. even though it does not reach the internet and no NICs are listed I can still log into DSM via the browser, and sometimes I am able to access the shares from another pc. The motherboard has Dual Intel GbE LAN, and this the output from putty listing drivers: lspci -k | grep 'Kernel driver' Kernel driver in use: i915 Kernel driver in use: xhci_hcd Kernel driver in use: ahci Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: pcieport Kernel driver in use: i801_smbus Kernel driver in use: e1000e Kernel driver in use: igb I've tried replacing the extra.lzma 1.03a2 with the one in extra918plus_v0.2, but no difference. Anybody got a clue what may cause this? Thanks, j
IG-88 Posted July 19, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 19, 2018 the 918+ is limited to 2 lan ports without mod there is e1000e and igb so two different drivers, if there is a pcie nic try to remove it, if teh board has 2 different lan chips the try to disable one, test switch to disable the other and test again i've tested both drivers on a skylake system also try your usb flash drive and a single empty disk with a fresh 918+ install, maybe some kind of upgrade problem (bonding and maybe mtu size othe then 1500 are involved?)
