My Xpennology Build With DS3617XS - Intel I5 8th gen

Hi Everybody,

 

Thanks to Xpenology to cake that project real. 

 

I wish share my build specs with you.

 

It's based on un 8th gen processor and it was made for a Large capacity of storage.

 

Motherboard : Gigabyte B360M-HD3 (i must have 2 pci-e 16x slot for raid card and 10Gbps card)

Ram : 16Go 2666Mhz DDR4 - Ballistic

CPU : Intel I5-8400 3.4Ghz @ 4.0Ghz

Case : Fractal Design Node 804 with 2 HDD 3.5 add homemade mod (not very good visualy but work :) )

PSU : Antec High Current Gamer HCG-650W Gold PLUS

HDD : 12 x Seagate 3TB Desktop HDD 3.5" (Bought long time ago for 2 small server (main - backup)

Additional card 1 : LSI 9211-8i IT mode

Additional card 2 : Intel X550-T2 10Gbps

Fan : 6x Noctual NF-S12B Redux PWM

I'm french too... and bad at english so Google translate will help me.

 

First, nice build, beautiful in every way !

 

I myself installed just yesterday Xpenology on a system close to yours (Asrock B360, i3 8100) but I have a small problem: the NAS does not appear on Synology Assistant. Yet the drivers of the network card are well taken into account.

 

What have you chosen to install : 3615 ou 3617xs ? Do you have any problems with the install? It works well ??? I wondered, especially through the fact that proc are recent: are they compatible with xpenology ? I had already mounted 3-4 Xpeno config that ran without any worries with stuff recovered from right to left.

J'ai installé juste hier Xpenology sur un système proche du tien (Asrock B3360, i3 8100) mais j'ai un petit souci : le NAS n'apparaît pas sur Synology Assistant. Pourtant les drivers de la carte réseau sont bien pris en compte.

 

As tu choisi la version 3615 ou 3617xs ? Est-ce que toi tu as des soucis avec l'install ? Ca marche bien ??? Je me demandais, notamment via le fait que les proc sont récents : est-ce qu'ils sont bien compatibles ?

 

J'avais déjà monté 3-4 config Xpeno qui tournaient sans aucun souci avec du matos récupéré à droite à gauche.
