gordies Posted March 2, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 2, 2014 Have Synology running on HP54L, and so far it is working lovely. However, when I try to install Java it reports insufficient disk space. Having recently upgraded my N54L from 4.3 to 5.0-4458 I am now getting the same insufficient disk space error when trying to install Java (in this case, jdk-7u55-linux-i586). CtrlAltDel Posted April 22, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 22, 2014 @the OP This may seem like a silly question but are you installing java in response to the notification that pops up when you open the file explorer? If you are then the java that is out of data is related to your browser afaik. It's required if you want access to the local drives in the file browser tree. If you don't need access to the local drives it's not an issue. Having said that it's always good to keep java up to date. I don't run dsm5 so I can't comment on the disk space issue sorry.
