Bananen79 Posted March 1, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2014 (edited) Hi, Is it possible to downgrade from DSM 5.0 to 4.3? If so, how do I do it? Regards B Edited March 2, 2014 by Guest
Bananen79 Posted March 2, 2014 Author Share #2 Posted March 2, 2014 Nevermind, just followed this: http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1086 Downgraded to 4.3, worked like a charm. Reason why I wanted to downgrade, couldn't get hibernation to work with my HP54L. In 4.3 everything works, even push notification.

gnoboot Posted March 3, 2014 Share #5 Posted March 3, 2014 Those users reporting hibernation is working might be using Marvell controllers that is fully supported by the vendor. EDIT: my boot image now supports downgrade option

EDIT: my boot image now supports downgrade option nice! I just tested this out in alpha 10. Was at DSM 5 beta Upgrade 1, downgraded to DSM 4.3 3827 and verified my test files were still there. Then upgraded back to DSM 5 beta and verified my files still there again. All good

Hibernation works for me with DSM 5 on an HP N54L if that helps.

I just installed DSM5 on N54L via Nanoboot x64 iso I upgraded to UPDATE2 and WOL works fine, but not for hibernation. could not work out why
