XPEnology on Acer AC100

Question

Hi,

I have istalled XPEnology on my microserver Acer AC-100. Looks good, works fine, with correct bandwidth.

However, i'm unable to change the bios to boot automatically to my USB key (I need to press F2 at each restart and select manually my key).

So, 2 questions:

1/ another guys using acer ac-100 find a solution ?

2/ there is existing way to boot directly on hard drive without using USB key ?

Thanks !

Hmmm, i just gave away an acer ac-100 with a baremetal xpe intallation  on a micro usb stick.

Back in the days I liked it way more than the HP Microserver Gen8. The AC-100 has easier to use drive encasings and is considerably smaller in size.

Though, the lack of a fifth sata port and the lack of room for an additional ssd made me switch anyway.

Back to the topic: the solution is somewhere in the bios. Though, I made the required change long time ago. I don't realy remember what I did.

Though it must be located in the drive boot order section.

Good luck!

Thx for your feedback.

Indeed I can change my boot order and set UEFI, optical disque, Hard drive, network boot. But USB is not available. That's my issue...

However, available when I specify this manually (one shot boot).

usb= 'Removable Device' perhaps?

try that as first boot device and disable all other devices
