Offical hardware Upgradeable and IDE controller support

Great work on this. Have a couple of questions:

 

For bootloader 6.1 or just in general, does it support IDE/parallel hard drive controllers?  HD doesn't show up in the interface.

 

And I also have an official 210j that isn't getting updates any more. Is there a way to upgrade the DSM on the device using the tools here?  Search didn't turn up anything specific?

no, most ide will not work as the kernel module for this (pata_*.ko) doe not load, synology made changes to the kernel for driver they need and as they dont need pata_*.ko the drivers are not adapted so they will not work

no thats a older ARM processor based unit, xpeonology is based on x86 processors (now day's 64bit capable processors)
