When you say you are using 4.3 3810..... Which usb stick version are you using?

This one: XPEnology_DS3612xs_3810-repack-trantor-v1.0.7z from http://xpenology.trantor.be

And I dont think HFS+ is supported either. Try some other format.

But they say they do!

File System | External Drives | EXT4, EXT3, FAT, NTFS, HFS+

@HFS+: Tried also with Jornaling turned off.

What is your SYSTEM?

eg

How many SATA Ports

How many E-SATA Ports

How many USB Ports

you might have to fiddle with

/etc/synoinfo.conf

/etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf

to get it setup correctly

OK

Default options are I believe is for DSM to think there are 11 USB ports (which the REAL DS3612xs probably has)

Microserver only has 7 USB ports

So you might have to change/try the 3 options below to something like the following

If your using the following config

4 x SFF-8087 off motherboard >>> Backplane | Plus the Internal SATA Port for a total of 5 x HDD's

And the E-SATA port is still being used as an E-SATA Port

then change /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf to

esataportcfg="0x1000"

usbportcfg="0xfc1"

internalportcfg="0x2f"

4 x SFF-8087 off motherboard >>> Backplane | Plus the Internal SATA Port | Plus the E-SATA Port Looped back inside for 6 x HDD's

then change /etc.defaults/synoinfo.conf and /etc/synoinfo.conf to

esataportcfg="0x00"

usbportcfg="0x1fc"

internalportcfg="0x3f"

Then reboot and try again, also look in "Storage Manager" / "HDD Manager" and see what drives are recognised....is the USB boot drive shown in there?
