I will give the password to those who provide review/feedback and active @XPEnology forum. For now, I will not give the password to users @nas1.cn. You've been warned but someone leak the password w/o linking back to my blog.

Check the ADs or email me for donation to continue gnoBoot development:) Enjoy!

I'll try to update to 4458,but how can I install 4458 by gnoBoot? Is there any change or the image should be re-complined?

thank you

First, you have to setup serial logging in XEN, and then boot to GRUB's debug option and send me the output. If that doesn't work for you, simply send me `dmesg` output or /.gnoboot/debug.log with debug enabled. Take note, you won't be able to see any console messages while doing this, add "console=tty0" at the end of GRUB kernel option to enable it.

I booted with debug console=tty0, hope it worked as desired

I walked through the Great Wall to your blog, and click on the ads on the page. If you know who click on the ads?

A lot of people do not know how to cross the Great Wall have your blog up! So some people forwarded your article.

i think the GW is the firewall filter by keywords, dns and etc.

I found a very inconsistent transfer speeds on the cifs. speeds between 10mb ~ 110mb

my test env:

esxi 5.5, DSM 4.3 with A9 boot, vRAM 8GB.

E1230 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD (data storage), WD 4TB disk (VMFS), WD 2TB(RDM),

again thank you for your awesome job.

Good for you! I'm getting 1mb flat using mpt2sas driver + lsi 9211-8i (IR RAID0) + SSD on alpha10.2. What version are you using?

I'll be trying out alpha 10.2 and a lsi 9201-8i (IT mode) via passthrough in the next day or so. Swapping out new disks one by one and repairing array to copy current system to new array. Only 1.5 disks to go. They take like 12 hours each

Lsi 9271-8 and H710p

I just use photo station on the dsm as the front end for the mobile device. The window sever is the main storage as the back end. That is why I prefer to use cifs mount on dsm instead of NSF or ISCSI.

I use vmkfstools -z / -v to create the LUN for dsm instead of the raid controller passthrough.

Test env:

Gnoboot alpha 9 - dsm 4.3

Esxi 5.5

Windows 2012 r2 std

Dear Gnoboot,

Could you show us your configs in esxi (hardware/software)?

I can't found out which 10.2 img in your drive,
