aTan Posted March 16, 2013 #1 Posted March 16, 2013 I've installed this viewtopic.php?f=2&t=555 to a computer with an usb key and dsm assistant. after installing dsm files in assistant, pc restarts and after bios there is just blinking underscore. than after several minutes assistant fails to install configuration with connection timeout error. i guess that pc don't boot properly. maybe bootloader is corrupted. is there some way to fix it? i've tried to reinstall it twice.
XPEH Posted March 17, 2013 #2 Posted March 17, 2013 Make sure that BIOS is set to boot from USB first.
aTan Posted March 17, 2013 Author #3 Posted March 17, 2013 There are two disks, both are in a boot list.
lpstudio Posted April 20, 2013 #4 Posted April 20, 2013 I am having the same problem only mine hangs unless I unplug the sata harddrive. Did you get it working?
kuehne.robs Posted January 20, 2014 #5 Posted January 20, 2014 i 've got the same problem after install 4.2 repack 1.2 on an Intel S5000VSA Mainboard. The onboard Controller hangs on enumerating the disks until i unplug them. Have you solved it ?
stanza Posted January 20, 2014 #6 Posted January 20, 2014 Try the following Completely wipe the drives and start again with BIOS set to ACHI mode (eg boot a linux live usb and remove any and all partitions) or Set to IDE mode in BIOS .
kuehne.robs Posted January 20, 2014 #7 Posted January 20, 2014 if my bios is set to legacy i cant see all disks - if set to sata/ahci the controller only boots without drives. i will try to shuffle the disks and ports and wipe the drives one after another
