[HELP] New Hard Drive "not detected"

Hello,

 

I currently runs XPEnology DSM 4.3 update 4 and it works perfectly but I'm left more than 300GB on my 8TB (Raid 5). So I bought two 3TB disks but when I plug them, they are well seen in the BIOS, but not in DSM interface, impossible to add in my volume, checkbox remains gray> <

 

How can add my HDD?

Stupid Question ^^ : My hard drive is new, it should have been formatted before connecting?

I have re check... HDD enable in BIOS and AHCPI activated

what does it say up higher in dmesg?

 

eg 1st few seconds worth after all the pci stuff and before the network card drivers load

Connect all your drives and but with ubuntu livecd to see if all disks are detected.

 

On your screenshot SATA IDE Combined Mode is Enabled.

According to the mainboard manual:

SATA IDE Combined Mode
This item is for SATA3_5, SATA3_6, SATA3_7 and eSATA3 ports. Use this
item to enable or disable SATA IDE combined mode. The default value is
[Disabled].
If you want to build RAID on SATA3_5, SATA3_6, SATA3_7 and
eSATA3 ports, please disable this item

 

Disable this option and retry.
