This piece of kit is worth bout 700 bucks due to supply/demand right now, but I got one for 500. I was eager to put my janky Xpenology to bed, but the UI is so.... sluggish compared to my Xpenology with a 10 year old desktop processor. I'm really considering selling it and get a few bucks out of the deal. At least with my Xpenology, I can upgrade to 10 gb networking relatively cheaply. I love the Synology OS, but damn... their hardware sucks.
Hi Guys, I've been setting up my XPEnology for the past few weeks and noticed that my write speeds went down horribly after enabling SSD-cache. The transfer starts out at about 1GByte/s (not bit) but goes down all the way to 30MB/s or even lower write speeds, read speeds are fine though. After trying some diffrent settings and also making a RAID 0,1,5 and basic RAID setup the speed still seemed to stay really poor,.. I blamed the network settings at first but noticed my raid5 3 HDD setup manages to keep a steady 500-600MB/s (Bytes not Bits) while transfering from my
hi, I've just started with Xpenology. I have instaled 6.1 on a server I've got from ebay. my issue is at the moment transfer speed. a 7GB file, first 1-1.5 GB of it transfer at 80-90 MB/s the rest drops to 10-15 MB/s. any advice, please. New Bitmap Image.bmp
I use VMWare Workstation 12 on Windows 10, I can see network interface is 1Gbps in DSM which installed in VM. But it's very slow copy file between host machine and DSM, about 20MB/s~30MB/s, I use bridge network. Any one have this issue？ Thanks.
