Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and would like to be able to get this hardware to work with xpenology, especially since the motherboard supports 8 sata ports. Mainboard: Asrock FM2A88M Extreme4 + CPU: AMD A8 5500 RAM: Gskill 8gb (4x2) HDD: 4x4tb WD Red I tried to boot the system from usb with various bootloader configurations, the only ones that can boot by letting me access the installation are "Jun's Loader v1.03b DS3617xs" (DSM 6.2), "XPEnology_DSM_6.1.x-quicknick-3.0.zip" (DSM 6.1) and I also tried "DS3615xs 6.02 Jun's Mod V1.0" Both 6.1 and 6.02 then do not finalize the installation by telling me that the * .pat file is corrupt (although I have tried several times to download it from the synology site) So the only one that brings me the installation on the HDD is "Jun's Loader v1.03b DS3617xs" but here the strange problems start, the system says it will restart in 10 minutes, the pc actually restarts but from that point on then I no longer see the PC in my network and therefore Synology Assistant cannot find it, I don't know what to try to solve. Moin zusammen! Hat jemand zufällig das Asrock J4105-ITX als 3617xs laufen oder eventuell 3615xs? Mein N54L soll jetzt ausgemustert werden. Möchte eigentlch das System (3615xs) auf das neue migrieren. Ungern ein neues anlegen. Leider finde ich keinen einzigen Thread darüber. Die meisten greifen zum 918er .pat. Kann mir jemand etwas genaueres sagen bzgl. Loader und sonstige Probleme, die mich erwarten könnten? Habe eine Intel Gigabit CT Desktop Adapter PCIe (EXPI9301CTBLK) Karte für das Asrock eingeplant. Soll ja wohlmanchmal Probleme geben bzgl. Realtek NIC. Ich danke Euch.

Hello, Did some of you found how to get the DSM (6.2.2+) restart and shutdown functions to work correctly? Is there something related to BIOS version(s) or settings? Or the issue is in the DSM software itself? I've updated successfully to 6.2.2-24922-3 on bare-metal systems (both with 1.03b bootloader & DS3615xs and additional HP NC365T Quad Gigabit Intel NIC): HP Microserver G8 with latest BIOS (04/2019). Tried No C-States setting at CPU power management, but behavior is the same HP Microserver G7 N54L with modded BIOS 041 (2013, Kamzata version). I've tried ACPI 1.0/2.0/3.0 with no success. C1E and PCI-E power management were already disabled (no worky without them disabled) I've seen many users with successful bare-metal updates and wanted to ask if anybody knows more about the shutdown/restart issue... Microserver N54L + Карта интел чипсет. Работоспособность DSM 6.2.2 - 24922 Решил создать отдельную тему, так как все вопросы вязнут и теряются в общих потоках информации. Известно, что нормально заданный вопрос, уже содержи 80% информации ответа. Но если вопрошающий не совсем близок к теме обсуждения, то и вопрос его может быть далёк от истины. Тема эта, как раз близка к области: " А покажи мне куда тыкнуть пальцем...." И как показал мониторинг форума, не я один задался этим вопросом. Ну и к сути...... Имеем связку Microserver N54L + Карта HP NC365T чипсет Intel 82580, четырёх портовая, новая. Карта встала как родная, завелась с первого раза. Обновление проводил на "Чистую". Новая флешка, новый хард. Загрузчик Jun's Loader v1.03b DS3615xs. Отредактировал, VID и PID, серийник и VFR , всё взял со старой флешки, связка рабочая уже много лет. C1E Support - Disabled , встроенную сетевуху отключил Atheros AR8132M NIC - Disabled (отключил вроде бы правильно, других вариантов не нашёл) Запустил, загрузил, всё завелось и всё работает. Вроде бы жить и радоваться, но далее начинаются проблемы....... Перегрузка, выключение, выключение под модом POWERBUTTON_6.2-0002, приводит только к отключению DSM , но как не к отключению, перегрузке самого сервера. Перегрузка не возобновляет работу DSM. Отключение сервера возможно только посредством удержания кнопки питания. БИОС пробовал на дефолт сбрасывать, восстанавливал как было..... Флешку редактировал, разные варианты пробовал. Плясал вокруг сервака, рюмку ему предлагал, обещал руку и сердце.... Но увы..... Всё работает прекрасно, но только через физическое отключение питания кнопкой сервера. Возможно я бы и бросил это занятие, сославшись на недопиленный загрузчик и прочие тонкости программного колдовства, если бы не заверения многоуважаемого ХРЕН_а в этой ветке: А если у кого то работает, хоть и у такого Многомудрого специалиста, то возникает вопрос, а чем я хуже..... Ну и стало быть вопрос - просьба к ХРЕН_у и к другим, победившим эту проблему, расписать поэтапно процесс перехода на DSM 6.2.2 - 24922 И степень нашей благодарности не будет иметь придела ))))) Да.... Если кому то из форумчан интересна Карта HP NC365T , особенно под нужды Microserver N54L с низкопрофильной планкой ( сам столкнулся с проблемой приобретения сетвухи с низкопрофильной планкой), человек (в Питере) на Авито продаёт по очень вменяемой цене эти карты, новые карты, и в объвлении указана возможность отправки в регионы. I've an HP G7 N54L running 1.02b bootloader and DSM 6.1.7-15284 Update 2 (DS3615xs) using the onboard NIC. I've since purchased an Intel 82575-T2 PCIe 1Gb dual port adapter which I'd like to add (and disable the onboard NIC). I am planning to 1. Insert new NIC card and using the BIOS (a) disable the onboard NIC and (b) confirm the MAC(s) of the new NIC ports 2. Must I now edit grub.cfg to reflect I've now got two ports with updated MACs *before* I reboot [should I use force mode] ? Have I missed anything else ? Thanks in advance Paul PS. Long story short, had to file an insurance claim for the apartment I live in. Included in that is xpenology box that I built about 2 years ago. I don't think that I ever upgraded the DSM in it and the only thing that it's doing is hosting some shared folders and plex w/ a very large collection. It has 5 x 8TB drives in it. For whatever reason, it's no longer working (lightning, gremlins, ghosts, take your pick). Anyway, because of the insurance claim, I'm thinking of moving to a synology box. I'm almost 100% sure the HDDs are not damaged, and assuming that they aren't, is it possible to put them in and continue on w/o problems, in a synology box? I think mine is based off the DS3615xs (which i think is end of life??). I was looking at either the replacement of the 3615, the DS3617xs OR the DS1817+. Does anyone have any experience with this or suggestions? I'm not opposed with either.

Hi ya all, I'm new to ESXi and XPEnology and mabe someone here can help me out with my problem. I have the problem that none of my harddisks are vissable in XPEnology Storage Manager. The SATA controller is setup as passthrough in ESXi 6.5 This is my setup: 2x Xeon L5640 @ 2.27GHz 64GB 1333MHz RAM 2x 250GB SanDisk NGFF SSD LSI SAS9201-16i 16-Port SAS/SATA controller (the card is set passthrough in ESXi) Software = ESXi 6.1 Update-1 XPEnology 6.1 DS3615xs 6.1 Jun's Mod V1.02-alpha Is there something I have to do to make XPEnology recognise all de harddisks that are connected to the SATA controller? Could it be that it is driver related, however I have read that my SATA controller 9201-16i is compatible http://xpenology.me/compatible/ Any help on this is greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance!

Bonjour, je suis dans un environnement vmware esxi 6.5 je me pose la question suivante: si je mets une vm 3615xs, est-ce que si je lui affecte 4 vCPU les 4 seront utilisés? ou suis-je obligé de passer par la vm 3617xs étant donné que le 3617xs est un model avec un proc 4 cœurs contrairement au 3615xs qui est model avec un proc 2 cœurs. mog

I succeeded in installing xpenology on R510 today. I don't need the RS18016xs + function at all, I just want to change the model name on the control panel. I changed the unique model name in synoinfo.conf to RS18016xs+, but migrate screen appeared when boot. (DS3615xs boot loader) Then I think I need to modify the boot loader kernel, but I can't make it out absolutely. I found it through forum search, but it seems that the competitor has made the RS18016xs + boot loader, but it does not seem to work because of the old version boot loader. is there any other way? sorry for my poor english.
