  1. Just to confirm... after 2 long days of trying to make it happen, over the version v9.3 with the sata option: it can detect an Lsi hba, but never give any ip. No matter how many or mac and so. I try the friend option, while it was not clear what this bring.. and still no ip. I did try over the arpl, but find out some bug still present and disk count is wrong. But now i get a fully working 42692u2 via an install of tcrp v9.2.8. All detected directly, same process, same config as all others try. No ip is show at the console, but check the router dhcp and you get one. Then dsm install. still put on sata1:0 as independant persist thick. For the update, that was not clear: Go on the gui : manual install and : that<s it! Walk away as soon you click the yes button. And when your back 5min after : all is done. No need to quickly go to update a loader or put any string or run strange script m my myss ... the <tinycore redpill friend> as the 4th option do care of all and greatly is auto select and boot direct to it. i don't know the mean of : zimage upgrade detected mean, while doing the reboot when updating. Was it the loader now on version 9.3 or still in 9.2.8 ?
  2. Hi After spending the day trying to update tcrp and fail, i step on arpl.1.0-b6 and it was a breeze. Big thumb up. But i do have great issues to set the drive... The cmdline that show the sata drive : do detect/show a 60 drive total ? And my raid card it mode LSI9200 is not present/detected When log in dsm just half (4) of the 8 drive do show at position 65-66-67-68. If log in ssh i do see the other ssd present, but not detected by dsm. In manual config i did try : maxdisks set at 12 SataPortMap: "138" (try also 228 or 28 ) DiskIdxMap: "100004" ( or 1000 or 1B00 ) With those setting or without SataPortMap/DiskIdxMap .. i got the same thing. System is Esxi6.7 and when install Sata0:0 =arpl , Sata1:0 =hdd100gb . The sata1 was not seen anywhere and i have to add the hdd as position Sata0:1 to be able to install dsm. In tcrp v8.. i got all the hdd detected and present in proper slot with only: SataPortMap: "138" / DiskIdxMap: "100004" . So how to limit the max drive ? or map.. thanks
  3. As easily, for dsm7.1 : The powerbutton is now replace with the addition : acpi. it work direct in prox. For esxi, you need the new .spk vmtool.
  4. deploi le ovf d'un backup xpeno, en 3 minutes tu as un dsm6 qui roule avec ton disque. Puis ajout nfs folder sur le new dsm. et copie direct. très rapide.
  5. I don't know why people are assigning the img as a usb device. this was the old method. No reason at all to do and no mapping hdd number affected either.
  6. Perhaps the update 3 is too old and not take in consideration anymore. Will try the update 4 to see.
  7. The package do work perfectly on dsm 7.1u1 and 7.1u3 for. DS3622xs. all on esxi 6.7 Running an xpenology, no real reason to run a dva1622 as it still give issues just by it's own.. But as for the openVm, an .spk for the DS918+ appololake could be nice.
  8. Precision, redo over a diff version and it look to hang at 43% item objects 908/2066 . with 36.27mb received. It was the same item this weekend. But while the script don<t do a <skip object> it hang and cancel the rest. With a mention of reused existing.. but not updated object. @pocopico is that could cause a partial update as some function not matching or so .. ?
  9. Just to confirm, while doing a v7.1u1 update to u3 : i got an error while the postupdate try to download something at about 38%.. it hang.. like an ssl error or so. But after the reboot, it do show as being running U3. So was it properly apply or something is missing. here : sudo ./rploader.sh postupdate broadwellnk-7.1.0-42661 bspatch does not exist, bringing over from repo % Total % Received % Xferd Average Speed Time Time Time Current Dload Upload Total Spent Left Speed 100 10232 100 10232 0 0 20881 0 --:--:-- --:--:-- --:--:-- 20839 Rploader Version : 0.8.0.5 Loader source : https://github.com/pocopico/redpill-load.git Loader Branch : develop Redpill module source : https://github.com/pocopico/redpill-lkm.git : Redpill module branch : master Extensions : redpill-misc Extensions URL : "https://github.com/pocopico/redpill-load/raw/master/redpill-misc/rpext-index.json" TOOLKIT_URL : https://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/files/toolkit/DSM7.0/ds.broadwellnk-7.0.dev.txz/download TOOLKIT_SHA : 0d9edca67d9e7e14c2529bbb58341b623936124d5264f71f1e4acbacf3ea202d SYNOKERNEL_URL : https://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/files/Synology%20NAS%20GPL%20Source/25426branch/broadwellnk-source/linux-4.4.x.txz/download SYNOKERNEL_SHA : d3e85eb80f16a83244fcae6016ab6783cd8ac55e3af2b4240455261396e1e1be COMPILE_METHOD : toolkit_dev TARGET_PLATFORM : broadwellnk TARGET_VERSION : 7.1.0 TARGET_REVISION : 42661 REDPILL_LKM_MAKE_TARGET : dev-v7 KERNEL_MAJOR : 4 MODULE_ALIAS_FILE : modules.alias.4.json SYNOMODEL : ds3622xsp_42661 MODEL : DS3622xs+ Local Cache Folder : /mnt/sda3/auxfiles DATE Internet : 03082022 Local : 03082022 Checking Internet Access -> OK Cloning into 'redpill-lkm'... remote: Enumerating objects: 1317, done. remote: Counting objects: 100% (389/389), done. remote: Compressing objects: 100% (75/75), done. remote: Total 1317 (delta 333), reused 337 (delta 301), pack-reused 928 Receiving objects: 100% (1317/1317), 484.13 KiB | 145.00 KiB/s, done. 10. @phone guy@SebastianC@rojoone2 While the info you seak are within the previous 163 page, checking it can be the best way, but time to read. If you want to discuss another loader or another version : just create a different topic. This topic is only for the great work of Pocopico. @Bose321 as for the acpi, it do work fine, but if you add with the wrong url, that can give a not working condition. Also, it depend on the version of prox you use. best : install prox 7.1 don<t do any update, install tc with acpi and other and it work. No need of dodo not updated file.
  11. You install dsm on a dedicated hdd , then you add the adaptec card. i do have a previous gen and was working. Now run all on esxi and all good. But the raid card detection with the sata card listed was only possible in mid may, then was remove like 2 week after and you don't see the raid card anymore. just put satamap id by hand.
  12. for esxi is all the same and as other tuto you can check as well. tinytc on sata0 and sata1:0+ for new vm disk dsm install of proper size. No scsi and scsi don't give anything for the dsm install , you can put it after and add virtual disk is you want.
  13. At mid may, the satamap detect did detect all hdd connected directly to the lsi. Now this has been removed and it give the problem you got. i do put the dsm install on the sata1:0 and told 3hdd for the satamap. then install dsm pat. and at reboot, go change the grub and add 8 at the end of satamap. i have 3hdd for scratch or virtual other and 4 to 12 for the one on the lsi. so : 138 and diskid 100003
  14. @noxiosIt's a matter of extension. i have seen few post about that on gen8 and were working fine. look over github or dig among the thread (156page currently). 2 months ago i had a gen8 and all were detected when i install just to test out. But you better to put an lsi card as the hdd3-4 are not sata3.
