  1. Worked for me... Web interface... Didn't even restart!
  2. Can I update this with normal boot or should I boot using install / update path?
  3. Ok... It seems there is a simpler fix for people with no Vendor File.. First of all there is a file on the forum that generates SN and MAC addresses... I'm not sure how to add stuff but it's easy to find.. Open the syslinux.cfg file on the Boot USB, I used WinSCP to do this. Change the SN and add after mac1=(The generated number from the spreadsheet). Don't put any dash in just the numbers and letters.. Save and restart.. I got this to work for me... It's confirmed changed in Synology Assistant and Control Panel. Also MyDS is working.
  4. I don't have the vendor file either... Have I done something wrong or missing something obvious...

    Change USB

Hi, I've got my NAS up and running so thank you all for your great work. I however have a NOOB question, I want to change the USB boot stick for another smaller one.. Is it as simply have flashing the boot img to the new stick with Win32 and plugging it in? I'm not sure if any config files etc are saved to the USB stick during DSM setup.. Thanks Lee
