  1. Couldnt sleep, so I 6.2.2 drivers.... and guess what............. :)))))))) The Realtek is working. Two Ethernetports up and running. Thank you ! Can sleep again.
  2. Damn. The PCI card caused the PC not to shutdown /reboot.... Removed it again. Can live with 1 ethernet port for now Thanks everybody for helping out
  3. Yes... It is the Intel. The Realtek isnt working. So, I deactivated the onboard and plugged in another Intel CT. But this one is a PCI-Version. Same 1GB chip. Do I have to rebuild the stick and do the migrate? A simple reboot didn't work.
  4. Do you mean I should swap it? This is how it is set up right now: set mac1=5404A6BF1E9B set mac2=6805CA0B503A
  5. Just checked the MAC. Belongs to ASUStek
  6. Not sure if I'm using dmesg correctly but weird output for eth0. Maybe I mixed it up and the Realtek isnt working
  7. It is as you said. I updated quickly and didn't check before if 2 ethernet ports were there with the old version. Will give 6.2.2 drivers a try. Thanks

  11. Hi Using 1.03b 3615xs loader with onboard NIC and Intel NIC as pci-e. Grub.cfg has correct mac1 and 2. Interfaces set to 2. During boot and installazion both NICs get IP addresses. Installation is running using port1, the onboard NIC.. After installation is finished, everything is fine but the second ethernet port is gone. Onboad is Realtek. 2nd is Intel. Recreated the USB and the NAS successfully migrated again. But still no Intel Any ideas?

    Max amount of HDD

  15. Hi, my working NAS runs 1.04b on a ASRock QC5000 wich has 4port sata + an extra 6port sata-pcie controller I added one more harddrive and it doesn't get recognized. After switching harddrives I found out the system only supports 8 harddrives. What can I do to get more HDD recognized by the 'DS918' on 1.04b.

    ASUS P8z68-V LX

Hi IG-88 Going to try it again then with 1.03b and this time with the correct PID/VID. Tried a different Windows PC and voila, PID/VID are different. So, I put the wrong PID/VID in cfg... No wonder then... Thanks for helping out. Would call this as solved.

    ASUS P8z68-V LX

Hi, I want to build another custom NAS and are trying to get this running on an ASUS P8z68-V LX (CPU is an I7 2600K and 12GB RAM). It's an old board so doesn't matter if it is a waste using for a "simple" NAS. Tried any bootloaders (EFI/Legacy) but the most I see is the kernel message but nothing else = It doesn't get any IP, so can't be found by the assisstant. I deactivated the onboard NIC which is Realtek (same as the one I use for another XPnolo) and used an INTEL CT PCI-E card, but doen't worked either. I have dectiaveted C1E. Changed EFI to legacy BIOS. Removed additional Cards except Intel LAN Now, I don't really know how to check certain things. The USB sticks I used are weird somehow. Different companys but the USB tool shows same PID and VIDs all the time. In Windows 10 Hardware ID displays no PID/VID for both, they show an undlerline _______. Could the USB stick be already be the problem and PID/VID are wrongly configured in grub.cfg? I don't want to modify the one I use for the working NAS. Does anyone know if this Mainboard should work? It doen't look too special not to work.... Any help appreciated.
  18. Just let imager write the new img on my usb-stick and plugged it back in and the system started normally using DSM 5022. Then manual update to 5055 with the pat-file and everything is working fine. Thanks for the new img. Good job.

  20. All I can say is, my volumes are gone and don't come back after restarts
