i forced mem max and default to 16384 in synoinfo.conf in both /etc but DSM still reserve 12.5 GB or ram for himself; anyone can check his memory process manager to see if they have the same issue ?

Just installed 6.1.3 + update 4 memory detected: 16 GB virtuablbox: 3.2 Gb of ram memory manager says 12.5 GB reserved for the system

forced reinstall never worked with web UI, but OK with syno assistant .exe

If your migration does not work out for some reason you can reinstall by pulling out all the hard disks from the server and select forced install, when the server appears in the Synology assistant insert the hard disks and install fresh. does not appear, using my old usb stick with updated grub

i had to read the disks from virtualbox with windows10 + 10days trial , it is also ok if you have a recent linux virtualmachine. Synology does not recognize ext4 formated with recent distributions

is the 1.02b out for amd ?

vbox is working with the loader and 6.1-15047 ext4fs drives are not recognized, seems the driver is too old to read recent formated hdd. exemple hdd formated with ubuntu 17.10 ext4, are not mountable with this loader / kernel .

On Synology, on advanced smb protocol are enable with encryption. This slow down file transfert of files. Also dépend of cpu usage/power while doing à transfert. Disabling Can help

- can you import/convert a virtualbox vdi ? (with vbox you can select hypervisor kvm) - when i install this package, the problem is i have only one network card, i can add one more card. Is it the only requirement for virtual dsm ? Is there a way to get vbox 5.1.x on xpeenology 6.1 i can't import vbox file from 5.1.22 to 5.0.38 ((same effect on windows or xpenology) ?

with N54L and 16gb or ram : bootloader amd 1.02a from khyle, dsm 6.1, memory limited to 4 Gb, can't find the thread with the solution

I Just used it to install text edit. Mounting ext4fs USB drives is a problem. And vbox give an error of config.php.

install madm #mdadm --assemble --scan run disks app in ubuntu live, mount the 5Tb SHR/BTRFS volume All good, instead of copy i could change something or delete some syno file to restart the setup without moving all data ?
