  1. Thanks Peter, Yes the light is blinking and I matched the MAC to the IP from the router and it's correct as displayed from TCRP FRIENDS. I also test unplug the cable and it stopped pinging. One thing I did was format a spare drive and is abled to get in to install DSM. But then once DSM installation is done, it just won't reboot. I left it there for like an hour. Then I hard reboot then the same thing happen. Synology Assistant can detect it with Migratable but when i browse to IP:5000 and same Site can't be reach. So basically, I can get to the dashboard only when there is a blank drive exist. Any drive with DSM installed, just give me site can't be reached.
  2. I now manage to get the network card working and IP displayed in TCRP FRIEND and is pingable. But still can't find it in Synology Assistant. Browse to that IP:5000 throw "This site can't be reach" and ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSE.
  3. I spoke too soon ... after a reboot, can't find device anymore. I reinstalled DVA3221 latest build withy Tcrp withfriend option. After reboot and it first show the ip address, then light on nic card went out and can't ping the IP anymore. Can't find device with synology assistant.
  4. Hi I am trying to setup DVA3221 (any built) with a DELL XPS 8930 with I7 9700 CPU ... i went through the model, build, serial number and did a build. After reboot, I can ping the DVA IP but can't find it in the Synology Assistant. I tried every built and set to direct boot as well but still can't find the device. screen stuck at booting the kernel. Anyway to find the device?
  5. Another quick question ... I managed to get the DVA3221 up and running but only detected 1 nic. How do I get the 2nd nic to work? do I just have to modified the user_config.json and add mac2 xxxxxxx?
  6. I have the same problem. I have been running Jun for last few years before getting a genuine Synology DS815+ NAS. I am experimenting the DVA with the attention for a dedicated Surveillance Station with the AI features. I am testing the ARPL with the DVA1622 for now and have the same issue. After built and reboot, got to booting then the root@arpl prompt and keyboard/mouse no longer responding. I am using a DELL XPS 8930 with I7 9700 series and 8GB ram.
  7. I am currently using a DELL XPS 8930 with an intel I7 9700 and 8GB of RAM. I know DVA3221 required at least Haswell CPU. Thanks. All build went though no problem and boot up normally but just can't find the machine with synology assistant or finds.synology.com.

Booted up OK but when trying to find the device with synology assistant and finds.synology.com ... can't find the device. Did I miss anything? Thanks
  9. How do you even install it? Keep telling me the file is corrupted. My last successed installation was on 8.0.3
  10. Thanks @IG-88 for the driver. Upgrade to 6.2.2 from 6.2 (1.03b DS-3617xs) follow your instruction. Network is OK. I have 6 drives connected to the motherboard SATA controller and 4 connected to the LSI SAS-3081e-r. Work fine with 6.2 Update 2 I read what you said only certain LSI controller work with this update. I tried out to see if the 3081e-r just to test it out. After upgraded, only 6 connected to the built-in controller detected. The 4 connected to LSI cannot be detected. Any chance to add this controller to your extended driver set? Thanks
  11. Here is the log of my working system (Asus MB 10HD) https://pastebin.com/pfCrK82k
  12. Here is pastebin link to the log for my test system (Dell Optiplex 755 with 3HD) https://pastebin.com/beGWjFbv
  13. I might be the second one. I am using loader v1.02a (3615xs) with the latest DSM 6.1.1-15101 Update 1 on 2 different bare metal system. One is working system and other is test system. Working system has ASUS MB, older i7, 12GB RAM, 10 HD, bond network. The test machine is an older DELL Optiplex 755 with 8GB RAM and 3HD. I did an upgrade from 6.1 to 6.1.1 ... Not a fresh install.
  14. Setup a brand new 6.0.2.8451 from scratch and work great so far. My system Intel I7, 12G, internal marvell SATA (5 ports) and LSI SAS3081E-R 8 ports controller card. 10 hard drives, 5 connected to the internal SATA ports, and 5 connected to the LSI controller. Everything is fine and work normally. The issue is now, as soon as I add the 11th drive to the LSI controller, synology now see it as an esata drive.... is that normal? if esata, can I added them to the disk group? I change the sataportmap=58 and that did nothing. I tried other value but always detected as esata... Any suggestion? Thanks
  15. I am having an issue after upgraded to 5.2-5967 Update 2 from 5.2-5967 with the latest 5.2.5967.1 Bootloader. Everytime I did the update 2, all my menu icon up top and checkboxes are missing (similar to some after downgrade from 6.0). I have tried it 4 times and the missing icon happened everytime. Is there a way to resolve this? I even rebuilt from scratch.
