I am trying to install 6.2.3 as a clean install and followed guides however cannot get N54L to be seen on network to apply corresponding .pat file.
I have tried internal NIC as it is supposed to be working on 6.2.3 and Realtek RTL8111E card i have installed in it too. Added VID and PID and mac address's and s/n, I am going crazy as i have 4 similar servers working just fine. Using 'Jun's Loader v1.03b DS3615xs'.
Any suggestions will be appreciated

He is saying that he has a potentially viable hardware driver compiled for it. Whether your app(s) support it is another question. Please consider this an invitation to troubleshoot, test and provide value back to the community. You will be the first to make it work if you do.
I wish i could but when you said it was not possible with my setup i sold the GPU. Wish I kept it now as looks like IG-88 was onto something.

So are you stating that using 3615 on my microserver i can use the P1000?

Outcome of the update: SUCCESSFUL
- DSM version prior update: DSM 5.2-5967 update 9
- Loader version and model: JUN'S LOADER v1.03b - DS3615xs
- Using custom extra.lzma: NO
- Installation type: BAREMETAL - HP Microserver Gen8
- Additional comment: Clean install | reboot required | onboard NIC recognised | had to run sudo rm -rf /.xpenoboot to get network settings working after migrating data

I direct stream with all devices at home but I would like my dad to see some movies too so is reliant on lower quality streams as he will be accessing my library over the internet.
I will try out DS916+ but i am not expecting much so therefore will sell the GPU and thus use my processor within its limits.

Flydrive, thanks for confirming what I assumed.
If i did use for example DSM 6.1.7 for DS916+ then would this version of DSM support my CPU and GPU?
If so, how great would it be? I know there is no further support for DS916+ but i am still using DSM 5.2-5967 Update 9 for ages now and instead of jumping to 6.2.3 i could just use 6.1.7 if it meets my needs.

Hi guys, I have been searching the forums and was cannot find what i am looking for. Basically I have a Microserver Gen8 with a a Xeon E3 1265L v2 processor and a Nvidia Quadro P1000 and wanted to know how to get Hardware and Software acceleration working for transcoding purposes when i use Emby. I have been testing DSM 6.2.3_25426 (DS3615xs) and all seems good but before i upgrade my drives from DSM 5.2 wanted to test acceleration.
Should i be using a different loader/version of DSM e.g DS918+ ?
How do i get the /dev/dri folder people mention?
Any help or a link in the right direction would be great.

Just installed DSM 6.2.2-24922 Update 6 successfully on my Gen8 (with extra.Izma) as a test before i commit as i am still running 5.2-5967 Update 9 which is very stable for me.
All looked good but has anyone had success in bonding the x2 internal NIC's?
The internal NIC's were working fine as 2 seperate NIC's in DHCP mode and with Static IP's but once Bonded together in Link Aggregation Mode i am not getting an IP address to connect to it.
Synology Assistant can see server but with following detials:
(MAC address 1)
Nothing = IP address
Manual = IP status
Status = Ready
(MAC address 2)
Nothing = IP address
Manual = IP status
Status = Connection failed
It seems the DSM software tried to bond the network ports but something is not right somewhere. I tried a re-install and same thing happened. Therefore was wondering if anyone else had success in Bonding the NIC's?

Hi, i am trying to get this to work under DSM 5.2 on a Microserver Gen8 but getting the following error when running 'ch_cpuinfo.sh':
"DSM CPU Information Change Tool ver. 2.2.1-r01 - made by FOXBI
DSM version less than 5 is not supported. End the process."
Is anyone able to help?
Driver extension jun 1.03b/1.04b for DSM6.2.2 for 3615xs / 3617xs / 918+

I have just tried installing DSM 6.1.7-15284 and it has worked on internal NIC and pci card. Updated to DSM 6.1.7-15284 Update 3 too. Unsure what is missing to to get 6.2.3 working.
