  1. HP Microserver Gen 8 Install fails

Same here, keyboard not working with that version and latest BIOS
  2. ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - DSM 5.0-4528 BIOS reset

Mac OS X been doing the same to Intel hardware for some time, and the fix exists!
  3. Like Xpenology, QNAP SO porting

Transcoding? Raspberry Pi with Openelec & just play what you have without any silly transcoding...
  4. ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 - DSM 5.0-4528 BIOS reset

Thanks, not an ideal solution, but will do as workaround for now
  5. Like Xpenology, QNAP SO porting

Just my 2 cents. Qnap are useless. Overpriced hardware (not that Synology is not!). Desktop components in server chassis (even on the high end "Enterprise" models!) OS on Qnap is wonky at least (would never trust my data with it again). You want good NAS, use proper hardware (HP, Dell, Lenovo) and put Server 2012 R2 on it! Job done
  6. Just for testing I used: Nanoboot-5.0.3.2 DSM 5.0-4528 Update 2 on latest HP ProLiant System ROM 06/06/2014 On each server restart (cold boot) BIOS gets reset to defaults (each time with no fail) Anybody seen it / has solution? Thanks sebus
