  2. Yes, I have. My problem is not discussed there. And the problems discussed there are not present in my configuration ('cause of less number of hdd's and more recent synoboot used). Furthermore my question is quite concrete - why pata_legacy module is automatically loaded in my configuration with no pata at all?.. And moreover - what for do we need this module in hba oriented version of synoboot?.. Is your bios set to use SATA compatability mode for the SATA controller? .

  5. ok for 23 internal ports try 0xFFFFFF 24 ports and usb as 0xFFF000000 12 ports E-sata cannot overlap usb or internal hance why your 0x0010 and 0x0100 didn't work to enable E-sata you would have to push USBports further left (add an extra 0 to the right) eg 0xFFF0000000 and e-sata would become 0x01000000 etc

  11. Need more info Which ACTUAL SAS controller are you using? I havn't seen a 4 port 2008 controller......is it a 4 port or are you only using 4 ports of an 8 port controlller? Which ports are drives connected too? all 10 x SATA + 4 on the SAS controller? How are they connected? eg direct by cables? or drives are in backplanes.....and do the backplanes have any SAS expander? .if you have troubles, most find it best to go higher on the hex code than the ports you have. you have esataportcfg=”0x0000” <<< (no E-SATA Ports), but you say the board has 2 x E-SATA.......are any drives connected? if not it's best to dissable the ports in the BIOS .

    Help!

can you not log in and run ifconfig to see what IP address it has? probably changed eth0 to eth1 (from adding the card in) in which case you might have to swap cables between ports and reconfigure mac addresses to the correct ones. .
  23. Well of course that's going to happen Your dhcp server is assigning IP to each one Plug one port only into switch Setup xpenology Then go into networking and either assign bonds or some other IP What are you trying to achieve as an end result? .
